Some buildup on edge of brake rotors (pics included). What to do.

Hey Friends, so I own a 2010 Mazda 3. I love it, however I noticed my brakes seem to have some build up (maybe rust somehow? I dont know) around the outside of of the rotor. It obviously still stops, but sometimes it seems to make some noise and I think this may be causing it. Is this something I can easily fix/clean off myself or should I just bring it into the shop?
