PVP.net patcher kernel has stopped working? Help

As the title reads. I can't even get to the main client where it says "launch" and shows you patch download percentage.

I have tried running as administrator, stopping the process in task manager, uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried different compatibility OS's in properties. I cannot figure out why League is doing this.

As a side note when i click on the league launcher more than once, it says that there is another application of league open, when there isn't any on my taskbar

Please, if anybody can think of anything else, it would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I have also brought my drivers up to date as well to see if that would fix it and of course no.

Edit2: SOLVED firewall was not allowing the launcher to work.
