Suggestion: Siphoning Components

I had a thought, and wondered what you guys had to say about it. With some of the rare components being extremely expensive to obtain (such as Noxious or Rumbling components), I was wondering if something could be implemented to siphon components. For example, say you get a Noxious Bow to level 12, you might be able to siphon it for no Invention XP, but get 1 Noxious Component. This is just a rough idea, I don't want to put any concrete numbers in, I just used the previous as an example. Anyone have thoughts on this as an alternative to siphoning?
