Could the fact that feminism is facing such a huge backlash be directly linked to the fact that we can access information and truth?

With the internet, came access to information. No longer is it held by a privileged few who are pushing an agenda, we can fact check, debunk, etc.

Many of the myths feminism propagated, were debunked once proper research and information came about. They lost their control of who had access to information, and what information we could access. This is leading to an awakening of sorts. (I hope)
