My brother's zombie movie idea

My brother has been bugging the hell out of me over a movie idea that I think is horrible. First, I agree that zombies have been overplayed, but if done right can be a great basis for a horror movie. Unfortunately, my brother has this idea for a plot device, and I don't think it's a great idea. Here's a recent text explaining his thoughts.

Well....it could just be somesort of virus movie....that has characters eating people....world war z was about a virus...not zombies....yes they were called zombies....but there was no cure....so it might be a little like that movie....but...i think a virus. Wherre people eat people and a cure being saltwater...will stand out as a good zombie movie 10 or 15 years from now
