Looking to control a motor to get 60 revolutions per 12 hours.
Hi all,
I am building a camera slider for taking time lapse photography. The slider is attached to a pulley system to move the camera over 1.5 meter distance. I would like to hook up a motor to it so that I can control the speed of the pulley. I would like to be able to set it up to run over long periods of time with a max pulley travel time of moving the 1.5 meters over a 12 hour period.
What is the best way to control a motor so that I can get tiny amount of revolutions over a long period of time? I would rather not use gears as I don't want to leave the motor running at full blast for 12 hours or so. Google suggested a "Pulse Width Modulation controller"?
I have a basic circuits back ground but this is out of my depth.
Thanks
