Can I wear compression clothes all the time?

Can I wear compression clothes all the time? When needing to deal with NTs (and not bike riding), this would be underclothing.

I was recently diagnosed as an adult and realize that the effect of sports compression clothes often calms me. I was reading about Dr Grandin's squeeze machine and stuff for kids and realized I got a bit of that effect when I got on my street-biking clothes (I tried this a bit in non-biking situations to confirm it wasn't just expectation of going biking). Then noticed a similar reflection briefly one or 2 adult aspie/autie blogs. They noted wearing it whenever they foresaw a stressful situation not constantly - I'm debating between this and constantly. Next week I have to go to a convention with work so I'll be wearing it constantly for 4 days, I just don't know if this is healthy long term.

I worry that wearing it always could cause 2 issues:

  1. I might become used to it and need extreme compression to calm me.

  2. The fact of wearing polyester and spandex tight all day might have some negative effect on the skin, muscles or circulation.

Are either of these dangers serious or even real?
