Safeness of chrome plated buttplugs?

We just bought a "stainless steel" buttplug off amazon although I think it may actually be chrome plated. The only toys we own are of body safe material so we were wondering if a chrome plated buttplug presents any health risks? It was quite cheap, only around $18.
