Where's the rock music at?

Unless you're sitting over a bowl of cheesy chips in Kensington's Balcony Café listening to Nirvana, can you hear rock music at any other establishment in Brighton? Particularly in the evenings? PavTav do their frequent 80s rock night that has essentially the same playlist every time. Where can you go to get a beer and hope to hear some Pantera/Incubus/SOAD/something with a fucking guitar in it that isn't indie rock?
