Reforging Heart of Iron

So currently I've been using all my bounty mats to reforge my spare Heart of Iron because the one I'm using only rolled 255% vit -> thorns. My question is should I keep Reforging it? I've wasted about 500 souls on my spare to try to get an ancient roll with at least 280%+ but still no luck. It's stopping me from Reforging other items I need to be ancient like my belt/rings/ammy and pigsticker. Should I start Reforging other things and come back to that last or keep trying?
