Curious about your Opinions
So I had seen nothing about The Division until my friend said the Beta was on steam and I should check it out.
I love Rogue likes and RPGS, the whole looting aspect too. And it all went well into The Division I was truly surprised. Well, after I got done with the story they allowed us to do. I went heavily into the Dark Zone to see how everything worked.
I was immediately hooked onto it, and spent 8 hours straight the first day playing it. Between chasing down Rogue agents, fighting the Cleaners, and scoping out the map. But I had some issues with the Rogue status situation.
I noticed you can accidentally shoot someone in a fire fight and get flagged but not MARKED. Which was a nice change of pace for pvp flagging in a game like this. But that is essentially where my "ok thats fine" mood stops.
People realized this almost as soon as the beta started getting popular and abused this. I can't count the number of times someone would shoot me once. Wait the timer, shoot me again, wait the timer, shoot me again. And then the moment I fight npcs they ran infront of my gun and "I" got the Flagged status.
I know there is a timer but it seems to forgiving if someone continues to just follow you and onetap you to keep you on your toes.
Or they run into the mine when you launch it at enemies. Hell, when the bomb expires it still blows up and causes anyone walking into it to take damage and mark you rogue.
Had someone used the flash bang bomb on me and seriously a moment later I unloaded on them thinking that would cause them to go Rogue. But it did not and I ended up just killing a trolling Agent.
I know I was frustrated at this time and ran for my life till the timer ran out. But what is your opinions on it? Do you think they can change this without breaking it or is this something that is generally ok?
