Question about copyrights and giving credit

I run a music and movie blog where I post features, reviews, and occasional news pieces. I've been reading up on copyrights and such to make sure I don't make any mistakes, but I'm still a little unsure. On my latest post I gave credit to a photographer who's photo I used for the feature image. Can someone just take a look and make sure I gave them proper credit. Also for anyone who runs a blog centered around music, where do you usually go to find pictures of bands for your blog? What places do you recommend searching for images that are allowed to be reused under the copyright? Thanks in advance!
