Preorder Detail Questions

With a Vive preorder is there the same no questions asked cancellation like there is with the rift?

Im looking forward to buying into VR from having recently sold my DK2. Elite dangerous is the big player here for me and the lack of communication with frontier about support has made a nervous. Add the fact that SteamVR is painted to be much better in Vive and here I am thinking about preordering a Vive!
