(USA)Should I create an LLC for my new YouTube channel?

Hi all, Someone asked a similar question in r/YouTube but they were told to ask a lawyer so hopefully this sub can help. I plan on setting up a YouTube channel with monetized videos. My fear is that someone will sue me for something so I'd love to hide behind an LLC (with a partner). It seems that YouTube will simply close your channel if someone gets mad about copyright or other issues. Is it still a good idea to set up an LLC?

I appreciate any info or advice you can provide me.
