Birthright Paralogue 13 is kicking my ass.

Anyone else played this one? I'm on chapter 20 and finally manged to get Subaki and Hinoka to shack up, but the subsequent mission to recruit Caeldori is making me tear my hair out. I'm on normal and the game up to this point hasn't exactly been difficult, so I wonder if I just need to grind more.

The worst part is that I got SO CLOSE to beating it after an hour of carefully dancing around the enemy, only to have Ryoma die to a 3% chance crit. Didn't realize I was actually playing XCOM.
