Need help with setting up BMD Intensity Pro 4K audio issues.
Hello, I just purchased a commercial license and need some assistance getting my presentation set up properly.
My audio/video source is a Black Magic Design Intensity Pro 4K card which is receiving audio and video directly from my Canon camcorder. Note: The camcorder is receiving mixed mic, guitar, and backing track audio via its XLR inputs. The camcorder then outputs HDMI to the capture card. My end goal is to use the incoming audio and video to the capture card as a Skype webcam.
The video seems to be working fine, however, I'm having REALLY weird audio problems. My big question is about audio/video syncing, delays, etc. When I clap my hands on the video, there's a significant delay to when I hear the clap come out of my computer speakers. The other issue is this strange almost slow motion-like echo sound that comes out on the other end of the skype call that we're testing here in the office (computer in another room)
There are so many audio settings in this program and the help/manual doesn't help much at all. I'm receiving these sparse one line emails from XSplit's support and they're doing nothing but wasting valuable time with their their one-liner support replies once per day. What they told me to do was to add a delay in the settings for the capture card, but that did the opposite of what I wanted for the audio, it made the delay between audio and video even longer.
If anyone with the same card has had any success with Broadcaster, and can offer their help, I'd be most appreciative!
Update 3/17/2016 - Problem is solved. It wasn't XSplit, or Skype. On advice from Black Magic, I downgraded to a previous version of the driver for the card and that fixed it, no more garbled sound. If anyone else has the problem, you know what to do!
