Fucking Miserable Weather in the Midwest and I cannot escape

Weather in the midwest is the worst. Tornados, floods, hurricane like storms, blizzards, ice storms, sleet, humidity, damaging hail, oppressive heat, wind and bitter cold...all in the span of week at times.

The weather, or should is say The Weather, constantly changes. It's a big topic of conversation and it's almost entity unto itself. It's unbearable. There is never a time that i don't either have the heat or air running. The air/con is necessary to chase away the humidty, even when it's 72 outside.

I cannot, and will not, continue to live here when i "stop working". I already told my husband this. I'm GTFO and i won't be like our grandmothers who are basically shut-ins from November to March.

I lived in southern Idaho for a year. Best weather ever, because it changed so gradually and S. IDaho is basically a desert. So just sunshine on most days. Nobody in ID talked about the weather, because it was such a non-issue.

It's either New Mexcio or the Puget Sound area for me when i stop working. At least i have that figured out lol.
