PSA: Australasian owners of Acer Predator X34 monitors
This image is of a smooth, blue gradient. If this image is not smooth to you, you see dithering or the colour is made up of large blocks of different tones of blue (colour banding), then I would advise sending yours back under warranty. If everything looks fine, then you're in the green and feel free to ignore this post.
To confirm, please go here and see whether the gradients here are smooth also or whether there is banding and dithering present. (There are examples further down the page of what I'm talking about.)
Acer support told me that they have been receiving quite a lot of reports about this from Australasia, but this is not the same as the German recall of first generation Acer Predator X34s where the firmware needed to be updated so apparently they don't know what's causing it.

I thought I would post this here seeing as it is a shame to spend so much money on something to have it not work properly. I lived with it for a few months think "weird, I didn't know imgur compressed their images so much" when I saw colour banding until I checked between a few different sources of images.
