What electric longboard should I buy?

Hey guys, I have been researching different electric longboards to buy and I wanted the Boosted Board Dual+ but it is a bit too expensive for me.

I have stumbled upon the Evolve Bamboo Street Longboard, it seems very nice, decent price compared to the Boosted Board at around $1000 USD. It is also a tiny bit faster and has more than double the range than a Boosted Board. The website states that the motor is only 350W, since I'm new to longboards, how exactly does the power of the motor affect the longboard? Is it just for faster acceleration? Curious because the boosted board has 2000W of power.

The only thing unappealing to me about the Evolve is that the motor is sticking out from the back, but that's not too much of a problem.

I might buy the Evolve, but I heard that the Stary is coming out really soon, should I wait for that?
