Do you feel like your life is made of glass?

I was a stupid teen, violent and on a course to get arrested. Now I'm mostly "functional" although it's a constant battle with self control not to lie about everything (I still lie a lot about myself though), not fall back down the hole of substance abuse, control the rage I feel at little things, not freak out the people around me by saying something that a normal person wouldn't etc

Like I've got this life that works mostly. I hold a job, I keep on top of finances, I have partners (no friends really, but lovers/shared financial responsibility people) and I'm mostly happy but the whole thing feels so fragile. Like if I slipped up and laughed at one of my partners crying over something stupid or attacked someone again or whatever I wouldn't have the stupid kid excuse anymore. I'd quickly be ostracized and stop being able to function likely ending up in jail or a psych ward again.

You can't really be an 'out' ASPD person and still be included in the benefits of society. I'm not really optimistic at my continued ability to hide what's different/wrong about my brain.

What mechanisms do you folk have for setting up a failure tolerant life?
