How hard is Bloodborne? Is it really that hard?

I've never played any Souls game before. Firstoff, is it scary? I mean, does it send chills down your spine for some reason? Based on videos, the scenes and places looks pretty dark, gruesome and downright EVIL. So personally for you, how hard is Bloodborne? I've played Witcher3 on Deathmarch, FO4 on it's hardest difficulty and MGSV was pretty easy even with the skulls. So do you think I can handle bloodborne? And how was your experience with it? I know I'm a little bit late for the party. But better late than never right??
