I find it crazy how much hate and dislike the Dark Zone and Rogue system gets outside Reddit.
I lurk several gaming communities to stay as up-to-date as possible on anything videogames and I find it absolutely crazy how much hate The Division's Dark Zone and Rogue system gets, specifically in most communities outside Reddit (haven't seen much of it here luckily!). Never once have I ever felt that the balance of the game has been awry. Whenever I died or killed someone, it was a direct result of my own skill versus someone else's. The game is immensely satisfying in that regard.
And to be honest, the majority of people I have seen complaining about said things have turned out to be bad players altogether. People really need to understand that the Dark Zone is like The Wilderness in Runescape. Anything's fair game, survival of the fittest, best man comes out on top etc. It's not supposed to be a hugbox or a comfort zone and I seriously hope the developers stray true to their beliefs and don't succumb to peer pressure because I fear that the majority of people will complain.
There, rant over. Now let's continue waiting impatiently for release.
