Helping my gf deal with her anxiety
My gf is a very sweet and sensitive person, very caring towards others. Unfortunately, she might be a bit too sensitive.
She is in the final year of her study and has problems due to anxiety. I really want to help her get through this.
She lacks confidence and constantly underestimates her own abilities. She looks at others and sees only positive features while see has a hard time seeing her own.
She is also prone to thinking in worst case scenarios. For example she will think she is not able to do the assignment properly, expects to fail, feels bad for letting everyone down and therefore has a hard time being motivated to do her best.
See is afraid to fail and let others down. She wants to achieve something in life but constantly thinks she is not good enough. Whenever this is playing in her head she gets angry at herself and completely freezes. So she cannot work on the assignment and just cries.
She even mentioned that in these moments she has had bad thoughts about hurting herself. I don't think this is actually something she would do but it scares me nevertheless.
I want to help her. I know that self medication is not recommended but I want to have a discussion nevertheless. I was thinking the following.
- let her have a small dose of MDMA and talk. She feels completely safe with me and I can often calm her down.
- have her experience a light trip with me (1P-LSD?) so she might see things in a different light.
- have her take etizolam when it gets bad. (this is something I want input on, won't just give her some pills)
She is getting some professional help. I might not do anything but I would like to hear opinions and experiences. Thank you for reading.
TL;DR: gf has anxiety, want discussion on if and how I might be able to help her with or without drugs
