Hand-pumped ale in Melbourne?

The links I find online seem woefully out of date, so I thought I'd pose the question of where to find real, hand-pumped, ale in Melbourne. It's quite a treat to find a great ale like Hobgoblin only to have that treat turn into a disaster when you realise it's carbonated and chilled to tasteless levels.

I know The Royston in Richmond and Penny Blue in the CBD have a tap, but for some odd reason they insist on only pouring stout. Or is that the only ale available?

I'd kill for something like the Southampton Arms here. Ale. Cider. Meat.
