Is premed worth pursuing again?

I'm currently in my first semester of senior year. I switched from Pre med to computer science after my second year of college because I wasn't working hard enough and got bad grades. Anyways I saw my pre med advisor about getting a mockup schedule to change my major back to biology. However, I have to retake 8 classes to bring my gpa back on course for med school. I'm just wondering if it is worth doing that and graduating in 2 and a half years or stick to my current degree and graduate in 1 and a half years?
