Conquest

(Sorry for my failed spoiler tags. Don't know what went wrong with that.)

I wanna preference that I was introduced to Fire Emblem through Awakening, and I absolutely loved that game. The final battle was the most memorable part for me personally. I loved the game's story (granted it wasn't anything groundbreaking), I loved my Avatar because I thought he was a good character, and most of all I loved the characters I fought with. Chrom and Co. felt more like a family to me than the Conquest characters did.

When Robin fell to Grima and was about to die before his friends started calling out to them, and that amazing music started playing, I almost teared up. I was hit with so many feels in that scene, it became one of my all time favorite final battles in Jrpgs.

But then I get to Conquests final mission, and it does the exact same thing, except it doesn't feel nearly as earned because Corrin's a dumbass who thought it was a good idea to get shot, and because Takumi as a final boss feels underwhelming and came outta nowhere. Did the developers really think people would not notice this? Maybe it doesn't bother some people, but it bothers me. I'm hoping Revelations has a more satisfying finale (please don't tell me if it does or doesn't, I want to be surprised).
