Photo management / renaming / organising software

Good-day.

Title says almost all. I am looking for software that would help me organise my pictures and possibly even rename them according to date or something. I have about 4000 pictures from multiple devices, internet that I would like to categorise nicely. I did sort them by hand from 15 000, but am curious if there is something that might make it easier next time for me.

Cheers
