"the Republicans in Congress must soften their stance and give Obama an up or down vote for the replacement for Justice Scalia."

Because the American people are not going to tolerate anymore the inhuman treatment of Obama by the Republicans in Congress by not giving him an up and down vote for the replacement.

And it happened just when every Democrats thought the Republicans were trying to change their stripes and want to be a party which will be more inclusive of all types of Americans, not just the White people , the Republicans, ( except Mark Kirk of Illinois and Susan Collins of Maine) and their bunch of so called Lincoln's followers led by Senator McConnell are promoting their racist attitude by declaring," there will be no confirmation hearings at all for Obama's nominee in replacement for Justice Scalia in the Supreme Court in a lame duck session" .

The only problem is this is not a lame duck session.

Lame duck session will start after Nov 8th of this year and will last untill January 21, 2017 when the new President will be sworn in.

Now, in the old times, that would've been called treason but I guess for a Senate majority leader that's called a payback for what the Democrats did to Ronald Reagan by rejecting Robert Bork 's nomination in 1987.

But Mr. McConnell also must admit that although Justice Kennedy was nominated on November 30, 1987 but he was confirmed after only 3 days of Judiciary Committee hearings by a Democratic controlled Senate in a 97-0 vote.

So, it pains to hear all these shenanigans from the top Republicans, specially from Mr. McConnell that they will not show any respect to Obama, even in his last year in office.

We may ask, why ?

But the Republicans won't give any proper answer for that .

So the only reason that I can find is, Obama's color of the skin.

If that is the way these Republicans in Congress want to run the country, maybe the voters will take the power out of their hands, come November this year .

And I bet they'll.

I'm quite sure the Democrats are going to control the Senate in January, next year only because the American people are not going to tolerate any more disrespect to their favorite President whom they voted and sent to the White House in two election seasons in a row, marking a chapter in the American history where the dark color of a person was not a barrier anymore .

But on the other hand, this smear campaign that the Republicans are using to tarnish the image of Obama is definitely going to turn against them as most of the Americans will see more clearly as to who's at fault and who're not allowing the country to move forward by not allowing his choice of candidate for the Supreme Court...tkb.
