Looking for Cute/funny anime, but not sickeningly cute.

I am a sucker for CGDCT in anime. However, even I have my limits. For me, Non Non Biyori was the perfect example of being just the right amount of cute, but Kiniro Mosaic and Gochiusa bordered on sickeningly cute at times. So, I'm looking for a cute series that I won't ever think "This is taking it overboard." For reference, I've also seen and enjoyed K-On, Hibike! Euphonium, Hanayamata, and a heck of a lot of Idol anime.

Also, before you think of suggesting it, I have tried watching Lucky Star, but I can't stand it.
