Falling out of love with the pump

I've had my pump since I was in fifth grade, so I didn't really remember much about the pen/ shots. A few days ago, my pump fell out of my pocket and broke while I was at my grandmas eating dinner. I'm now in college, and I was initially very worried about using a pen again. I have actually noticed that my numbers over the last few days have been better than normal, despite being on roughly the same schedule. I'm starting to think the long actin insulin plus shots for corrections and boluses works better than the pump, atleast for me. My pump came in the mail yesterday, but I'm torn about using it. Anyone have a similar experience?
