Broken piece inside Nerf Rival. Warranty?

I've only had it for a few weeks. Went to use it yesterday and noticed the trigger wasn't functioning properly, and it sounded like something was rattling around lose inside. I pulled it apart, and part of the trigger actuator mechanism was lose inside. The piece of plastic (that is part of the frame of the gun) that the actuator pivots on was broken, and cracked down its length. Judging by how it was both cracked, and sheered off, it looks like whoever put it together tightened the screw too much.

Unfortunately I think my gf recycled the box, and I can't seem to find any info online about warranties. I was going to try and glue it, but since it's a pivot piece if any glue gets out of exactly where it's supposed to be, it won't pivot anymore and won't work.

I can take/upload pictures of exactly what's broke if that helps.
