Priest or Sorc for leveling?

Because I don't know anyone who plays this game; which of these two would be better for leveling solo? This is my first time playing so I do not have any experience whatsoever with the game or its mechanics. The other classes do not appeal to me. I hear Sorc is really squishy, can they be leveled solo? I prefer to play healers but hear they are a massive pain to level solo in this game.
