Experience range for Jungle monsters?

Hi, so in season 6, I'm pretty sure there's some change to the range of the jungle EXP range, such as when I was tanking the Gromp, and walked away for my ADC I didn't get any EXP even though I was pretty close, so does anyone know the range of the Jungle EXP? Thanks.
