Bought my first apartment and i have no furniture. Need help

So i need funiture, placement and such is something i can play with. But colors that goes well together with the style and brightness of the apartment? I really want a clean look, maybe something modern scandinavian? and something that gives a warm and cozy feeling when it gets dark outside. Most of the shopping needs to be done at IKEA. I may be asking the impossible but help is truly needed!
