Share with contacts is messing up

This has been going for weeks now. All my contacts, even the ones who have Yik Yak, I can no longer share yaks with them the normal way. It makes me send them a text message as if they don't have the app. It even makes me send a text message to myself if I try to share a yak with myself, as if I don't have the app.
