Called HTC and found out more details on the pre-order process and what comes in the box(es)!

Didn't have the time to record the transcript of my phone call, so take this as a grain of salt of how much you trust this strangers word. I do have a reference number scrawled on my notes that you can see here.

I was told that the Vive would be coming in three different boxes (Could be outdated info based on previous Devkits)*;

Box 1 includes a control box, control box pad (which he described as a remote, but didn't know for what real function), a 3-in-1 headset cable (usb and hdmi cables), an AC adapter for the control box, and the actual VR HMD.

Box 2 has the 2 basestations, a 50 ft sync cable, mounting hardware, mounting plate, a shelf adapter (He didn't know much about this).

Finally, box 3 has 2 VR controllers with lanyards, 2 wireless dongles, 8 CR123A rechargable batteries (Wireless dongles are apparently integrated into the HMD, and batteries are integrated in the controllers, confirmed by Valve employee u/smeehrrr.), 2 AC Adapters, and 2 USB Adapter boards (Alot of confusion behind what this was really for because he said somthing about how this is how you connect it, but he didnt specify if it was to connect it to charge or connect the dongles to it. Given that he said 2 of those come in there though tells me its just the USB Wall adapters.) (Wrong, outdated info, according to u/smeehrrr).

Billing and Shipping Info

I was also told that when it came to payment, you could pay in two ways.You could play with Paypal, or you could pay with a credit or debit card.

If you pay with a paypal account, the full amount will be taken immidiately, but if you pay with a credit/debit card, a hold of $799 will be put onto the account and when the shipment is recieved, the money will be taken out of your account (It is unknown if you must have the money in your Paypal wallet or just a bank/card connected to Paypal)*. I did ask about the possibility of shipping being free or what that cost could look like, and was told that they do not know anything about that at this time. I also asked about the ability to use a mini-displayport from the control box, similar to the Vive Pre, to connect it to my PC as to not use up my only hdmi slot. I was told that at this time HDMI is what is used for that and unless there are further updates or announcements they cannot say if that will be the case for the consumer Vive.

Edit: Correcting bad info*
