Anyone know what the bad smell in the northern suburbs was this morning?

Around 8-9 this morning there was a kind of bad/chemical/acrid smell which seemed to be all over Bundoora, Macleod and Reservoir, and the whole area was pretty hazy. Didn't see anything on the news that might have caused it though, any ideas what it was?
