Take a break if you are on über hot streak
For anyone who has ever played COD, if the same players play multiple games without leaving the lobby, the system will match hot players with cold players in order to avoid "unfair" balance. The matchmaking systems of most multiplayer games, including LoL, are derivatives of MSFT true skill.
Anyway, the typical straw man arguments thrown out are "I won and I'm matched with trolls, feeders, blah blah blah..." The canned answer is "you have your MMR for a reason, they are the same skill, blah blah blah..."
In reality, it's actually a combination of the two seemingly opposing viewpoints at the same time. If you are really hot, you will be matched with players with similar MMR, yet most likely on cold streaks and vice versa.
In other words, you aren't being matched or cursed with nebulous trolls, feeders , etc. You are being matched with people who are cold. Anyway, this is done to implement parity. Otherwise, LoL would be a two headed hydra with a population that almost always rises and a population that almost always falls in a respective tier of course.
Tl;dr. If you are really hot, fold the proverbial deck for the night and avoid the parity. If you don't trust me, spend a little time on op.gg looking at the win rates and other metrics of your team mates and opponents during hot and cold streaks.
