Which Sam Harris books will help me improve my life?
I respect the philosophical argument against permission for unsubstantiated beliefs, but I don't think it is something I can really apply to my life as a nonreligious person, and I am not especially keen on debating people about this topic. I also don't really see the necessity to call out religious moderates, but that is a different conversation.
I have almost finished Lying and I really liked it. It has made me go down roads that I have started to traverse in my own thought process, but have not followed them completely through to their ends, and therefore convinced me and committed me to being more honest in every moment.
I have started Waking Up which is obviously very practical.
I think the fundamental idea behind Free Will is very useful as a basis for compassion, but it is already my perspective that people should not be punished and therefore do not know if it is especially important for me to read.
I haven't read anything else.
