Colonizing the dothraki plains

Hey. I've conquered all of the free cities and would like to continue to grow east. What is the best way to go about colonizing? Is there anyway to change the Dothraki tents which I don't like into castles?

EDIT Found a solution. Dothraki lands are just regular colonies so once they're successfully colonized you have castles
