Moderator applications now being accepted for /r/betterCallSaul
We are looking for a few good mods! If you're interested, comment in this thread and answer the numbered questions at the end of this post.
Responsibilities:
- Review unmoderated links and modqueue reports and remove off topic content
- Answer subscriber questions in modmail
- Enforce sidebar rules
- Update sidebar and wiki content as needed
Requirements:
- Previous moderation experience preferred
- Effective communication skills (i.e. you're not a jerk to other people on Reddit)
- Reddit account older than six months
- Not afraid of trolls or spoilers (because as a mod, you will unfortunately encounter both)
To throw your name into the hat, answer the following questions:
-
Describe your previous moderation experience. (It does not have to be Reddit)
-
What is your time zone, and how many hours per week can you volunteer?
-
Do you have CSS experience? Do you have work samples?
-
Have you ever created wiki content? Can you link to the content?
-
Are you available to moderate on Monday nights when new episodes air?
You can also tell us why you're interested in becoming a mod here.
The application deadline is March 2. We will contact the subreddit members we are interested in interviewing further by March 5.
ETA: Please do not send us a modmail with your application, post it here so we can review everything in one place. Thanks!
ETA: We got a lot of great applications, thanks everyone! We'll be in touch with our decision in a few days.
