If you're not going to play, why play at all?

Maybe this belongs in the rant thread but I hate it when people don't put in the bare minimum of effort to actually play the game. I realize we're all here to have fun but you do need to try. Example: I was sheriff, and after successfully calling out one mafia member, I got killed. Before I died, I discovered another mafia member. Luckily we had a medium! You know what that medium told me when I asked him to tell someone what I had discovered? "Why" Why? Because that's your role. That is literally the reason why you exist. If you're not going to play then just don't play this game. At least do the bare minimum.
