[help] Tetrix MAX Axle Flex?

My team has been working with a chain-based drivetrain this season, and have run into significant flex with the standard 5mm Tetrix axles. When the chain is tightened down it causes our font axle to bend inwards and angle the wheels attached to it quite noticeably. Any other teams have (or had) this issue? Any solutions other than using larger diameter axles in the future?
