[Spoilers] Interesting find in the Byrgenwerth College

So while I was in Byrgenwerth, I was standing just outside of the Lunarium door and I could hear sobbing that sounded eerily similar to the Orphan of Kos. Not sure if it is the same or not, plus it stopped after a while, but with the new DLC out it got me thinking. Could Master Wilhelm have been involved in killing Kos and using her blood for research? I've read in that Kos may have cursed her blood and those who consumed it after being defeated by the Old Hunters. This could explain why Wilhelm, the most renowned Byrgenwerth scholar, is now a seemingly mad man slowly rocking in his chair. I'm sure this is just false speculation, but I liked the thought.
