A slightly drunk Thank You.

I just wanted to say thanks to this subreddit. You all are great. I've been going through my first heartbreak and you were very helpful in dealing with that.

I've transitioned out of the bad part. I woke up last week and realized I am ok. It's still sore like a freshly healed wound but I am not sad anymore. It's a weird set of feelings dealing with a lost love. Life is weird.

E: You know people imply that you're ok once you stop thinking about them. With little phrases like, "One day you'll wake up and not think of them." I think that is horse shit. I still think of her a lot. I look at my watch to see if she is up, I remember the way she laughed at my jokes. I think you're ok when that stops bringing you pain.

It's weird, times like this when I think too much about what happened I get sad, but there is no hurt anymore. I miss her like you miss someone who died. Fondly, and sad they're no longer in your life. I'd like to talk to her again like we used to but that memory makes me happy now not hurt.

I can see why people get so angry when they break up. Love hurts when it's alone. I guess the trick is finding a way to turn that into something you can live with.

This has been semi-drunk ramblings from Thing_That_Happened thanks for reading.
