American Airlines bumped me and I'm Platinum. WTF.

I was on an early morning direct flight and got a notice that my flight had been canceled and they had re-booked me on a much later flight with a layover. I immediately called since this particular route has several direct flights a day and did the call back hold option. About an hour later, I finally got the call back and found out that my original flight was not cancelled and it was booked solid.

I'm pretty furious right now. I paid for a seat on that flight, I'm Platinum, and they aren't even going to refund me the difference in price.
