UPS store

Once when I was maybe 6 or 7 I was waiting for my mom to mail package in the UPS store parking lot. At the time she had a big huge eurovan with a sliding door and lots of windows, the car was big enough for me to stand up in. A dirty pickup truck pulled up next to my car and a man got out and looked at me. He knocked on the window a few times and motioned for me to get out of the car. I shook my head, bolted up and locked the sliding door. The man walked around the car and tried to open the door before I could lock it. I went into the front seat, double checked that those doors were locked and then pushed on the horn over and over. My mom came out of the UPS store a few minutes later, when the man saw her he stiffened and ran to his car. When he saw my mom get into the front seat of the car he quickly drove away. Sometimes I wonder what he would have done if my mom hadn't come out of the store right away.
