What are your opinions on Hody as a villain?

I'm curious why no one really likes Hody as much as basically every other villain. In my opinion I think he is a huge change from the typical villain as he starts out to be weaker than zoro and moves up to luffy's level. He feels more original and has a ton of character development throughout the whole arc. Don't get me started on how badass he looks in his final form. So what are your opinions on Hody?
