What's your take on the NHL's frowned upon stance on goal celebrations?

Just something I was thinking about

You often see NBA and NFL players celebrate after scoring and their respective leagues and fans have embraced that its a part of the game.

Any kid who loved to play sports would fantasize about making game winning shots or coming up clutch and then run around the driveway going nuts like it was no one's business.

I think it's something the NHL should embrace, all of these players started to playing because they had fun and enjoyed it, once you start taking away those aspects of the game, it becomes any old, boring job for the players. I love the game of Hockey but it's frustrating to see the league be so rigid on blocking any sort of individuality for players. There are very few players in the NHL that have bright personalities with a few exceptions like PK Subban and Alex Ovechkin.

Whenever they decide to show some emotion they get flack for it by other teams and media.

Switch over to the NFL, or NBA where dance celebrations have become the norm, it makes NHL players look like rigid robots (Don't even get me started on post-game comment cliches) Anyway, I'm just venting here.

It's just frustrating to know that the most exciting thing an NHL player can do without getting heat for it is an emphatic fist pump
