Beelzmon BM question

Hi guys i am playing an R3 copy of the game on a JP account , i've checked online that to get Beelzmon BM i need the dlc for it , and last i checked when i reach Beelzmon i got no more path to digivolve , does this mean i need to backup my game , reset my vita and change it to R3 download the dlc in order to get access to the BM ?

Please help me out digitamers , i am very new in this and i am trying to collect my favorite digimons
